01.06.2020 COVID-19 UPDATE - NON URGENT APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE

NHS Scotland began restarting community services from the 28 May, and the Institute of Osteopathy has signalled non-urgent Osteopathic appointments may resume where appropriate. As such I have undertaken a risk assessment of my practice, and implemented infection prevention and control measures. Please ring for an appointment. You will be screened and booked in as appropriate. Please expect the following changes:

• I will be operating a one in – one out system to maintain social distancing.

• Please arrive on time for your appointment – waiting areas will not be available.

• You will be asked to hand sanitise and put on a mask upon arrival - please bring your own if you have one, otherwise a mask can be provided.

• All fabric covers, towels and gowns have been removed – please dress appropriately for your appointment.

• I will be wearing a medical grade mask, apron, eye protection and gloves for your safety – please do not be alarmed!

• I will be practising increased hand hygiene procedures and hard surface disinfection.

• I will not use any techniques which involve deep inhalation or exhalation, or which may potentially induce coughing.

• Please be prepared to use contactless card payment where possible.

• After each patient, the room will be cleaned immediately and ventilated ready for the next appointment.

Please contact me for any queries.

12.05.2020 COVID-19 UPDATE

In accordance with social distancing guidance I am currently only taking urgent or emergency appointments – please ring for advice.

If you have received a letter from the NHS which states you are in the high risk category for coronovirus please ring me for advice or guidance. I am unable to see high risk patients for face-to-face appointments.

All Patients will be screened Pre-Treatment using the following questionnaire:

1. Have you had close contact with or cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days? Yes / No

2. Have you experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days? Yes / No

If your answer is yes to either question you will be asked to follow appropriate medical advice and postpone.

24.03.2020 CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE : Coronavirius update

In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19 and in response to public health guidelines, I have made the decision to cease all appointments until further notice.

I have been implementing extra measures in recent weeks to ensure that hygiene is meeting the highest of standards. Unfortunately the situation nationally is more serious and I want to be sure I am doing the best by our community, in particular those who are vulnerable and our NHS.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any advice or exercise recommendations via phone or email. I am very happy to help.

Appointments will resume as soon as they can.

Keep well everyone and take care.

See you on the other side!

Amy Cotterell

…………

As of 23.03.2020 Appointments at Atlantis Leisure will be rescheduled due to closure of the Leisure Centre during the Coronavirus outbreak. I will contact each person with an appointment individually to make alternative arrangements. Thank you for your patience at this time.

…………

20.03.2020 Coronavirus update: we are OPEN

As a regulated healthcare profession, we are guided by Government advice and they have not at this point issued any measures to shut down private practice clinics or other close-contact small businesses.

As our NHS colleagues and NHS MSK services get re-directed, there is still a role for osteopaths to support their local communities with health care and advice under these difficult times.

Therefore I am continuing to offer appointments at present to those who need them. At this time, please DO NOT make an appointment if you have flu like symptoms, have recently travelled to a high risk area, have been told to self isolate or have had close contact with someone with Coronavirus.

……………..

13.03.2020 Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Osteopathy appointments are continuing as normal.

I am aware of peoples’ concerns about Coronavirus (COVID-19) and am following best practice and advice from Public Health England.

As normal practice: all laundry is changed and washed daily, hard surfaces are wiped with disinfectant before appointments commence and a strict hand washing routine is adhered to.

Please inform me and do not attend your appointment if:

• you have the symptoms associated with coronavirus (a cough, a high temperature, or shortness of breath),

• you've recently been to a country or area with a high risk of coronavirus (for a full list of countries please use the government website),

• you've been in close contact with someone with coronavirus.

If you are concerned about coronavirus and your symptoms, you should use the following services:

• NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service

• Further public information is available from the government and NHS.
